In a year full of major composer anniversaries that of Paul Hindemith, who died 50 years a go in 1963, is in danger of being overlooked. For organists, Hindemith’s three organ sonatas are one of the major contributions to the repertoire in the twentieth century. Fresh and individual though they are Hindemith’s style was not forged from thin air. This day seeks to place his organ music in the context of other German organ music, from Reger and Karg-Elert to the likes of Arvo Pärt. Led by two experts in the field, Professor Graham Barber and Kevin Bowyer, this is a day not to be missed.

Further information will be placed here shortly, together with a booking form. Email us to be sent information when available.
