RCO Organ Forum—3D Franck

Saturday 29th October 2022 (10:00 – 17:00)
Our Lady of Victories Church, High Street Kensington, London W8 6SA

The 2022 RCO Organ Forum explores the music of César Franck, one of the most important composers for the organ, the two-hundreth anniversary of whose birth falls on 10 December.

Following the example of previous Organ Forums, we are privileged to have leading performers and scholars illuminating Franck's organ music from different perspectives. Central to the day is the highly acclaimed 53-stop Skrabl organ of 2021 voiced in the French Symphonic style and inspired by the work of Aristide Cavaillé-Coll.

Presenters
Artistic Director for the Forum, Richard Brasier, has just completed a new edition of Franck's organ music published by Lyrebird
RCO Immediate Past President Gerard Brooks is widely recognised as an expert on French organ music of the 19th and 20th centuries
Eric Lebrun is titular organist of the Église Saint-Antoine-des-Quinze-Vingts, Paris, and is also a composer and pedagogue
William McVicker is organ curator for London's Royal Festival Hall and, as an organ consultant, is working on the historical reconstruction of the Cavaillé-Coll organ in Manchester's Town Hall
