RCO Foundation

RCO FoundationThe RCO Foundation is a fundraising body which supports the College's charitable activities towards our vision of a world in which organ and choral music are widely valued as central to cultural and spiritual life.

Income generated by the RCO Foundation allows us to look beyond our work with existing organists and choral directors, supporting outreach work that reaches new audiences, builds interest, and encourages the next generation of players to take up the instrument.

The Foundation looks to increase the RCO’s income by direct approaches to funding bodies, fundraising events and activities, and programmes including the Friends of the RCO and The President’s Appeal.

In recent years it has supported a range of RCO projects and initiatives such as Organs in Schools, International Organ Day, The Organ Podcast, and Play the Organ Year 2025.

The RCO Foundation comprises RCO trustees and others invited for their specialist expertise and knowledge. It is chaired by Prof. Chris Wood.

To support the work of the RCO Foundation, please consider becoming a Friend of the RCO, making a donation to the President's Appeal Fund, or leaving a gift in your will.

"The Foundation is dedicated to expanding financial support for the RCO, building a stronger platform for its educational and outreach initiatives. By bolstering the College’s core activities and supporting new and innovative projects, the Foundation seeks to inspire new audiences, nurture emerging talents, and promote the joy and skill of organ playing and choral conducting for generations to come."
- Prof. Chris Wood, RCO Foundation Chair
